Oliver Twist

Oliver Twist and Mr. Bumble
Oliver Twist was the second novel of the Writer, his most known and the first in the literature history to have a young boy as protagonist.
The story development is contributed by young Dickens' factory experience.
Firstly the book, an early example of social Novel, denotes contemporary evils, including child labour, the children recruited as criminal and the presence of street boys.
Secondly the plot is full of characters, in fact a lot of good or bad characters influence Oliver's fate through the slums, Workhouses and poor conditions.
Thirdly these themes, though serious, are treated with sarcasm and dark humor e the aristocratic characters are usually hypocrites and cruels.
